Our Story
Clothing has always carried more than just fabric. The best pieces become part of a life — they hold memories, they age with you, and sometimes they are passed down from one generation to the next. A good sweater or t-shirt isn’t just worn; it’s lived in, remembered, and inherited.
That idea is where Riff Apparel begins.
We started Riff Apparel because we couldn’t find clothing that truly met our standards anymore. Too often, quality felt like an afterthought — garments that look good for a moment, but lose their shape, comfort, and meaning far too quickly.
We create in the Netherlands, close to every step of the process. Not because it sounds good, but because it matters. It allows us to know exactly where our materials come from, how they’re treated, and who is making each piece. Fair working conditions aren’t a selling point for us — they’re a basic requirement. By staying involved from start to finish, we make sure nothing is left unseen or unchecked.
At the core of Riff Apparel is the belief that clothing should last. Not just physically, but emotionally. We design garments with the intention that they can be worn for years, even decades — pieces that don’t lose their place in your life.
As brothers, this vision is personal. We want to build something that carries meaning beyond trends or seasons. Something that can be passed on. A sweater or t-shirt that still feels right 40 years from now — just as strong, just as comfortable, just as loved. The kind of piece you’d want to inherit, or remember someone by.
In fact, that idea comes from something very real for us: the clothing of a loved one, who is no longer here. We would have loved to still wear his favorite pieces today — not just for how they looked, but for what they represented. That feeling is what we try to capture in everything we make.
Riff Apparel is our way of slowing things down in a fast world. Of choosing care over convenience. And of building clothing that is meant to stay with you — for life, and maybe even beyond it.
